Very nice but fitted like that they would never pass SVA visability angles.
Must be visible from 45degree either side of straight forward. It looks like the wheel and nosecone would block beam before 45 Deg

You can put the lights that low if you mount the side lights seperately like DAX do

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

I’d make sure I mounted them better than that.
If I can find out where to get them from or anything else close to them.

Suggestions?

If you use bike lamps check they dip to the left as a lot of them just dip straight down and are not right for car use. We used some Bates style ones on a car but they had car type sealed beam units. The ones above look like a can that's been stepped on.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Mornin :-)

They're £130 each, you have to mod them with a side light as they dont come with one and they fail the SVA test as they have no beam pattern.

Peteff, they're the dearest stepped on cans you can buy :-)

They do look nice on the car and give it a more modern look but they are very heavy and expensive but as im 17 stone there was no need to build my car on weight, I've gone for sound/looks :-)

hopefully the cars going to stafford on Sunday depends on the weather, so if anyone interested in them, they can check them out there.

SVA fail on headlamps = back on tonight now the cars passed :-)

With £260 worth of front lights, its a necessity!!! At least the first change of lights won't have to be done for another three years

unless you are building a car from all brand new parts (ie new reg) you will require a mot every year (afaik), you only get the three year break when its a brand new car. but i could be wrong!!

you are wrong....

your car will be shown on the v5 as 'year of manufacture 2004' regardless of age related/Q plate and an MOT will not be required until 3 years are up.

EDIT -

Bugger MK Ninja beat me to it....

I didn't know that thats it for 3 years, cheers lads.

Took the car out last night around rivington, frigg me it was cold, still enjoyed it though, those roads are mental

Need some help on headlights:

I think the 4" lamps ( see GTS) are very nice, but I'm confused about Left dip, Right dip. Or the Bates headlights (only 100 € a pair)( Rusch Germany is using these). But they are all ment to mount on a motorcycle

Can somebody explain me how I can see this, by the E marking ??

I could do with the correct E designation for Left dipping headlights for the UK.

The problem with the Bates motorcycle lights is that they dip centraly, neither left or right so give the wrong pattern for MOT/SVA , think it was said somewhere that its because the lamp moves on a bike with the stearing

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it
