Dunno, do you mean the air con unit or the woman in the shower?

A you mean the sunday special on scales that can take 180kg?

I collared 4 x ordinary bathroom scales and did my bec, set them up to all read the same with 4 x 25litre drums of water piled on each in turn and zero'ed at 100kg.

Set some slabs out on my drive and leveled with sand underneath to a bubble in a tube.

Balanced away, even with £4.99 scales they recorded a 5kg difference between front and rear if I leaned forward in the car or sat back so yes they will work, with 180 kg load should even measure a CEC.

Those are +- 1kg so just get them level.

Regards Mark

They look a bit posh for the garage but at £9.99 thats a pretty good deal. Not for my lardy car though (825kg)

I don't think its those ones they need a tap when unloaded to get them going!

I think they had some old fashioned spring ones listed last week but none at my local store this weekend.

donkeys years ago i bought 8 scales from ASDA for 2.99 each or something. Plan was to corner weigh the car when i completed it. At the current rate we'll have moved from kg to a new scale by the time i finish

A guy in my town who runs rally cars offered to set mine up inc camber and toe in etc on his fancy gear for £100 cash which i thought was a good deal for a pro set up.

John Pye, Bishop Auckland.

Hi as above profesional corner weight setup should cost no more than £30 on it's own.

But obviously not the lowcost method just more accurate.

cheers matt
