Mate.. If you have a card reader you cab get an adaptor for 99p on eBay for your micro sd to sd..

Mine crashed, and I reformatted the SD card, and has been fine ever since.
Dont know it that helps.
Also only format as fat or fat 32 (not sure which, but NOT as NTFS.

My first go with it, for a mate's stag do. Taped in place to various bonnet/dash/roll cage points.

Impressed for the money. Sometimes hard to see the flashing record LED in daylight and lining up square and level not always easy.
